The recreational activity, which offers families the occasion to play the senet game, takes place in a special room of the museum, where participants sit on the floor (a special mat is provided). Each family receives their own senet game for free, complete with game board, pieces and rules!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Along the ancient banks of the Nile, life went by between daily work and religious rituals, housework and free time. Like today, the time off was shared with loved ones and friends, and ball games where played, together with physical exercises, based on strength or balance. Board games were also very popular, of which the most famous was the senet, a kind of “chessboard” divided into squares, on which two players move their pieces, respecting the rules. Some hints about its functioning have reached us. If you are curious, come and discover the senet in the museum: you can test yourself, and then continue to play it at home thanks to our portable kit!<\/p>\n The number of admissions to the museum is limited, it is recommended to book guided tours on Saturday and Sunday in advance.<\/p>\n The tour is available ONLY in<\/strong> Italian<\/strong>.
