Synopsis

Guided tour with an Egyptologist dedicated to the traditions and the daily habits of the ancient Egyptians, with a focus on artifacts of practical use, examined in their archaeological context.

The Egyptologist takes the group in the galleries of the Museo Egizio to discover the collection, stimulating the observation and comparison skills and adapting the tour to the age of the students. Each guided tour will focus on a selection of museum galleries and objects based on the chosen duration.

The Museo Egizio answers your questions! Students can interact with an Egyptologist, ready to reveal curiosities about the social roles and different lifestyles of the inhabitants of ancient Egypt. Before the online meeting, the teacher can download an immersive game that stimulates the students to formulate questions to be asked to the Egyptologist: it is their curiosity that guides the activity. The objects from Deir el-Medina are a testimony of the ancient customs and traditions of its inhabitants. As for their religious life, the stelae of the town tell us about their desires and fears.
