Synopsis

The objects from Deir el-Medina are a testimony of the ancient customs and traditions of its inhabitants. As for their religious life, the stelae of the town tell us about their desires and fears. Among the recipients of the prayers, Meretseger, a goddess in the form of a cobra, is the object of a thematic focus. Each participant engraves his own plaster stele.
